curious-me's Diaryland Diary ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- A single call Birthday Day! Well it's been a pretty darn good day! I had a pretty crappy night sleep so that part wasn't the best but getting to sleep in half an hour extra was nice. It was also nice having Keith home. He was Awesome. He hung my birthday sign. My family has always hung the birthday sign as long as I can remember so I'm trying to continue the tradition but it's hard getting the man to follow suit. Anywho, he hung the sign and then proceeded to make me breakfast - which I was kind of surprised about cause we had no breakfast food. I made it to work by 9 - half an hour later than I had planned - oops. No one cared. After work I got my other b-day present from Keith - which I'll talk about later cause it's weird. Then we headed out to dinner - Lobster! And then we headed to the movies to watch a chick flick! I loved that I used my $5 off coupon for Lobster and then used my movie coupons so we saw the movie for cheap cheap. Yup my birthday was pretty sweet. Only one thing really kind of brought down the day. A phone call. Or the lack of one. You see every year my parents call me in the morning. Today I didn't get that call. I thought the phone was ringing - but then found out Keith left his work thingy plugged into the phone line. Anywho the call never came, I got to work the call never came, I got home from work - still no call. On the way out of the restaurant my cell phone rang. It was my parents. They had tried calling that morning but couldn't get through! I cannot tell you how my heart sung when I saw their number and how giddy I was to talk to them. I actually got choked up after the call. I hadn't realized how much I appreciate and depend on that call. I started to think about a day when I would no longer get those calls and I immediately teared up. Musn't think like that especially today of all days I know. But, it just did my heart good to get the call. Anyway, it was a great birthday over all. Apparently I still have cake in the fridge that Keith bought today. I should mention that I had a lot of fun last night as well with the girls and 2 of the 3 guys at the Racetrack. We bet on some horses and I won once - we played 4 races. I only won like $12 cause I bet $4 to place and my horse came in second. After the racing we went in to the casino we only stayed for about 20 minutes and I walked out a few bucks ahead but I was happy. C somehow walked out $200 richer! Crazy! Poor C has thrown her back out though so she was in some major pain. She was a trooper though. Keith and I didn't get home till after 11. A'ight I am crazy tired but I have to stay up to watch Big Bro finale. I've also got the sniffles which is concerning me. Hopefully I will sleep like the dead tonight and get some rest for this weary body!
