curious-me's Diaryland Diary ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Croon it to me MFB It was a good weekend. I had Friday off. I drove myself to Niagara Falls making a few stops along the way. That evening I saw Mr Bolton in concert. I sat front row centre. It was Amazing. About an hour and a half but it always feels too short. He sang some x-mas songs and I was reminded that he still has the pipes. That sounds weird but I guess I just take for granted all the songs he sings in his concerts that when he adds something new I sit up a little straighter and take note. The only bummer was the security were all hard ass about approaching the stage during the encore. It's always a given but this was a new facility and security were feeling their uniform if you know what I mean. I left there and floated into the casino and lost $20 to the machines for the next hour. Then I walked the 2 minutes to my hotel and had a restless sleep. The hotel was nice and I had a room on the bottom floor but the patio door didn't exactly lock. Thankfully it had a bar that you put down to stop the door from opening - but still - seriously? I put that in my review of the hotel! Saturday I checked out after a swim in the pool then headed home to the hubby. I was so tired but then after he went to bed at 8pm I headed out to shop for last minute things I needed for today. I had to remind myself it wasn't midnight it was actually early lol. I got a lot done in the next couple hours. This morning we were up and out early heading a few hours East to go to my brother's church. It was their x-mas pageant. It was cute. Then my family all had lunch out together which was a huge bonus I hadn't expected! I had brought the x-mas presents for the nephews because I literally don't know what x'mas will be like in one week. My sil's step dad is getting radiation treatment this week and is supposed to head home Wednesday. He looked good but also looked really tired and was the most quiet I've ever seen him. I guess he was told without this radiation he wouldn't see the end of the year. That's heavy. I sat beside my sil's mom who has dementia but I have always been able to joke with her and make her laugh which we both did the whole time we were together. Not much going on this week. Some presents to wrap. A couple things to grab at the end at the week. Some desserts to make for x-mas dinner. Oh and another visit to the dentist to get a cavity filled. BOO!! I haven't had a cavity in ages! Brushing and flossing every day is just not enough it seems!! Again BOO!
